Highly Flexible Fire-Resistant Cables for the Highest Safety Standards

Fire protection cables from the SABIX® Ultra product range combine important characteristics such as fire protection, halogen-free, flexibility and a high resistance to oil and fuels. SABIX® Ultra cables and wires can be used in flexible applications and have the highest fire protection properties according to IEC 60332-3 Cat. C or D or the French standard NF C 32-070 C1.

SABIX® Ultra fire protection cables prevent the spread of fire in the event of local flame exposure, are flame-retardant and self-extinguishing as well as halogen-free. In addition, they fulfil the requirements for smoke density, do not produce corrosive fire gases and comply with international standards regarding toxicity. At the same time, they impress with their resistance to oil, fuels, acids and alkalis, making them suitable for demanding industrial environments.

Typical areas of application are power plant technology, railway technology, industrial plants and other safety-critical applications with increased requirements for preventive fire protection. The cables are used, for example, as festoon cables for polar cranes in nuclear power plants. Other areas of application are in railway technology as sensor cables or as flexible control cables on access doors. Thanks to their high flexibility, SABIX® Ultra cables are also suitable for drag chain applications with moderate mechanical loads.

The product range includes flexible data cables, shielded data cables, paired data cables and control cables, each also available with overall copper shielding. This makes SABIX® Ultra the right fire protection cable for signal, data and power transmission in demanding industrial and railway applications. Here you will find our complete product overview of halogen-free cables and wires.
