The 16 North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) chamber districts each nominate the two best individual results for each profession to the organising chamber. This year the event was held by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Lippe zu Detmold in Lemgo. It determined the "state's best" trainees in NRW. The numbers: 250 graduates from over 130 professions were nominated as the state's best in positions one and two and invited to the ceremony in the Lipperlandhalle in Lemgo on 29 November 2013 in addition to representatives from the training companies and vocational schools. Benjamin Simon Józefów, a trainee from SAB Bröckskes, ensured the company received the award for the state's best 2013 for the 11th time in a row. He was extremely proud of his achievement because, as a dual student, in addition to his degree at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, less than half of his time was able to be spent on the simultaneous training course as a cable production mechanic.
