Application
Bayonet thermocouples of type K and type J (or other thermocouple types on request) are used in industrial process measurement, particularly for precise temperature monitoring on tools and machines in the plastics processing industry. The sensors provide reliable and long-term stable measurements under demanding production conditions and are available with either flat or conical measuring tips.
The bayonet lock with threaded spring ensures secure mounting and constant contact pressure. The rotatable bayonet cap allows immersion depth and installation length to be adjusted flexibly to the measurement task, ensuring reproducible results.
Bayonet thermocouples can be customised according to customer requirements, for example regarding thermocouple type, measuring tip, spring length, tip shape, bayonet diameter, connection cable, cable length, and connector type. The stainless steel wire braiding provides mechanical protection for the connection cable and allows use in demanding industrial environments.
These bayonet thermocouples, for example with flat or conical measuring tips and protective sleeve, are ideally suited for precise, robust, and application-optimised temperature measurement in machine and plant engineering. Typical applications include the plastics industry (extrusion and injection molding machines), the packaging industry (film sealing machines), and the tool and mold making sector.
