Screw-in thermocouple

Application

Screw-in thermocouples are used for reliable temperature measurement in industrial applications, particularly on engine test stands and for exhaust gas temperature monitoring at manifolds. These robust sensors with Type K or Type J thermocouples provide precise, fast-response measurements under demanding operational conditions.

The screw-in design ensures a secure, pressure-tight, and vibration-resistant integration into the process. A small sheath diameter allows for rapid response times, while an optional reinforcement tube increases mechanical stability. Thermocouples are available with or without strain relief, depending on the application.

The shielded FEP connection cable is temperature-resistant up to 180 °C, providing both mechanical protection and reliable shielding against electromagnetic interference. Screw-in thermocouples can be customized, for example regarding thermocouple type, tip design, sheath and reinforcement tube diameter, thread size, installation and nominal length, as well as connection cable and termination.
