Application

EN 45545-2 certified cable for use as power cable or earthing cable in electrically operated railways. Due to its silicone (Besilen®) outer sheath, the cable can be used at temperatures up to +250°C. The insulated copper rope has other advantages in addition to very good electrical properties.

This Besilen insulated copper rope R 107 has got excellent characteristics regarding flexibilit. Even with elevated vibration and extreme temperature ranges it is for example used as earth cable in the coupling transition or pivoted bogie. In the 3. rail current collector or in the pantograph it is applied for a reliable current supply.

Certified according to DIN EN 45545 it fulfils highest safety requirements for cables in rail vehicles .
